Silent Retreat in Germany 2026

A Week of Deep Reflection and Spiritual Maturity

This year, Susanne and Martin invite you to two silent retreats—in March and October. An invitation to pause, listen, and become profound.

Dates:

  • Monday, 2nd of March – Sunday, 8th of March 2026
  • Monday, 19th of October – Sunday, 25th of October 2026
Time: Start 6 PM, End 12:30 PM followed by lunch

Venue: Hofgut Rineck, 74834 Elztal, Baden-Württemberg, Germany

Meditation is the foundation for a conscious life. For those interested in individual, social, and cultural development, annual participation in a meditation retreat has become an essential tool for developing spiritual maturity.

Our lives are getting faster, more challenging, and more complex. Distressing news is inescapable. Now more than ever, we need to slow down and deepen our meditation practice. In addition to meditation, we have incorporated contemplative elements into the retreat that help merge the experience of inside and outside, of the inner self and the objects of the world. Ultimately, everything comes from one source.

In troubled times, our trust in proven social systems, institutions, and even our relationships fades, and many become anxious and insecure. We need to reconnect to a trust that carries us at all times.

A week off from external information, including news and social media, creates more inner space and, above all, allows our thoughts to rest. This helps us to regain clarity about what is currently on the agenda in life, what is currently important for ourselves, our relationships, and our effectiveness in the world.

Leadership Team: Susanne & Martin

Martin Bruders and Susanne Ahlendorf have been leading meditation retreats for 10 years. Their empathetic and attuned way of guiding is like a playful movement between Yin and Yang, picking up participants at different points of contact. They leave enough room for ease, are trauma-informed, and provide orientation and security to engage in the very individual path of meditation.

Susanne and Martin have had a close student-teacher relationship with Thomas Hübl for 18 and 16 years respectively. As senior students, they are involved in various projects and groups.
