AIS Academic Degree Program
The AIS-Academic Degree Program – AIS GRADUATE PROGRAM, MA (Master of Arts) IN INNER SCIENCE, MA (Master of Arts) IN GLOBAL SOCIAL WITNESSING – bridges the gap between inner and outer sciences. Our approach is to overcome the gap by respecting each other, making a dialogue between inner and outer sciences and by developing a common language. For this purpose we need to be rooted in both inner and outer science and eager to acquire and to embody more knowledge by studying and practicing both fields. Our hypothesis is that from this dialogue and interplay of inner and outer science an innovative contribution to the world will evolve.
Introduction AIS Graduate Program
The AIS-GRADUATE PROGRAM is an interuniversity graduate program under the umbrella of the Academy of Inner Science. The PhD-students of the AIS-GRADUATE PROGRAM come together with their peers, with the members of academic board and with the program director to deepen their scientific/discipline-specific and personal/spiritual development and get inspired by the collaboration.
The PhD-students of the AIS-GRADUATE PROGRAM are enrolled as PhD-students at one of our cooperating academic institutions and hereby admit the rules of these academic institutions. Only the cooperating universities have the right to award doctorates. Enrollment and admission of the PhD-students, acceptance of the dissertation and the doctoral examination procedure is incumbent on the academic institutions. The distinct doctoral degree regulations of the academic institutions are valid without any restriction.
Program Goals AIS Graduate Program
The AIS-GRADUATE PROGRAM is in general open for application of graduates who fulfill the academic requirements of the cooperating academic institutions. It addresses in particular applicants who are seeking to (re)union their spiritual and professional growth. The AIS-GRADUATE PROGRAM is open for applicants who graduated recently as well as for professionals with an established career who are looking for an integral supervision on their path towards doctorate.
The AIS-GRADUATE PROGRAM supports PhD-students to bridge their career and their calling, to transform what they do for a living to that what gives them deepest meaning and purpose for their life. The PhD-students are supported to contribute more authentic and more fully in the word.

MASTER OF ARTS IN GLOBAL SOCIAL WITNESSING at Ubiquity University
Introduction MA in Global Social Witnessing
Many caring, committed individuals wonder how to respond to global events that seem out of control. Social activists, health professionals, leader and healers from every work of life are emotionally overwhelmed and with no effective way to respond and make a difference. They yearn to be able to respond, to gain the possibility of finding some restoration to conflict, suffering, and injustice around the world.
Global Social Witnessing (GSW) is an essential new social technology that offers a way to restore possibility. First introduced by Thomas Hübl in 2017, it is about developing the human capacity to mindfully attend to global events with an embodied awareness, creating an inner world space mirroring these events. In doing so we increase our ability to respond, and more effective healing and peace-building become possible.
Global Social Witnessing begins with each individual. It is the ability to relate to processes, incidents and situations that happen in our culture. But in order to relate to myself, I need to have the ability to adequately map my outside into my inside … When I can create a physical, emotional and mental representation of (outer) events within myself can I really relate to them. This relationship, in turn, allows me to come to an appropriate (not reactive), creative action. (Thomas Hübl)
The target students of the MA in GSW are Change-makers, including: educators, political activists, artists, local and global leaders, etc.
Program Goals MA in Global Social Witnessing
The goal of MA in GSW is to enhance students’ witnessing competence for their transformative action researches in the world. In this transformative research students should be able to address the three included components: knowledge (cognitive understanding of the witnessed subject matter); self-mastery (their socio-emotional reflection about their values, beliefs and cultural norms and how those may have shifted during the program); impact (behavioral changes they intend to make in their personal and professional lives based upon what they have witnessed in the program).
